Extension in the use of the contraception implant for up to 5 years 

The Nexplanon (etonogestrel) implant has now been licensed for use for up to 5 years in the UK. You can find out more about this update in a recent statement provided by the College of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare.

Level 3 Service

This clinic offers the following:

  • Information, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as Chlamydia, Syphilis, Gonorrhoea, Trichomoniasis, Herpes, Warts, Hepatitis and HIV
  • Rapid HIV testing
  • Advice and Information
  • All methods of contraception (excluding the vaginal ring)
  • Please be aware there is up to a 4 week wait for coil and implant procedures. ALL coil and implants procedures will require a telephone consultation first before an appointment is offered. Please see the new January 2024 update on Mirena 52mg coil here.
  • Emergency Contraception
  • Pregnancy Testing
  • Free Condoms
  • Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP)

Please note: This clinic is closed on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday morning for training. On alternative Wednesday mornings, appointments are available, please contact 0300 008 5522.

Wednesday 1.00pm - 4.00pm Walk-in clinic for all ages (Doors will open at 12.45pm and at times of high demand, the clinic numbers may be capped)
